About Us
Welcome to Bethel High School.
Our 3D Animation program is one of Hampton City School’s new
initiatives. The program offers three levels of 3D Animation training,
starting with Beginning, to Intermediate, and finally Advanced
Animation. In these courses students use state-of-the art animation
software to create images that move, spin, grow, shrink, change
direction; -- almost anything your imagination can devise.
The objective is to
provide students with the opportunity to explore the world of 3D
graphics and computer-aided animation, as well as the chance to develop
individual styles through creative experimentation. Utilizing advanced
computers and the latest technology, each class offers students the
opportunity to develop projects that they might use in commercial,
medical, artistic, or business settings. Skills will be further refined
in the student’s training where he/she will work in a project-based
learning program. Video games, advertising ideas and movie concepts are
also applications explored in these classes. As more and more
opportunities are linked to video and digital equipment, careers in
animation are in demand. Students who have learned the skills offered
in 3D animation will have access to new and exciting possibilities in
the visual world of the 21st century. Particpants in this course will have an overview of the 3D CGI industry and obtainbasic knowledge and understanding of 3D imaging and animation to create their own 3D work. Please take a look at some of the students' work here.
